Changing

I am currently reading Liv Ullmann's first autobiography, Changing, which I found for a quarter at Greencup Books on Richard Arrington. It is beautifully written, and while reading today, I was struck by a passage that I feel compelled to share though it may lose it's impact when divorced from context.

"People whose lives have touched need to renew contact, even when they have gone in different directions. Even when their new lives are a part of what they now share.

No one owns anyone. Together, we have each other and nature and time.

It is as simple as that."
